Description

Hydro demolition strips deteriorated or weak concrete using ultra high pressure water instead of impact tools. Sound concrete and reinforcement are left intact, which makes the method well suited to bridge decks, car park slabs and other horizontal repairs.

With no hammering involved, the surrounding structure takes no shock loading and the concrete that remains is left free of microcracking. The exposed surface is clean and rough, giving the repair layer a strong bond. This system is currently under development.
